Thibs needs to reduce the starters minutes by playing the second unit more but I don’t think they should add more players to the 9 man rotation unless a player is injured. I think keeping the 9 man rotation the players have more defined roles and better chemistry together and I think it’s risky changing that considering the playoffs are around the corner. Also i think Brunson should get a couple more games rest even if he thinks he’s ready to go because we saw what happened in Sacramento when he thought he could play.

Fair point, John - but I think their chemistry is solid, have been built over 3+ months... I'd argue increased rest is more valuable than a few extra mins of reps for the vets comfortable in their roles...

I agree it’s important that players get enough rest although it’s a fine line between giving a player enough rest and keeping that chemistry going for a playoff push. A good option would be to give a player a full game rest and have another player or two switch roles for that game so the 9 man rotation would stay in tact. Like what Thibs did with Brunson out he moved IQ into Brunson’s spot in the rotation and McBride into IQ’s spot.

Let’s hope common sense prevails in Thibs’ head. I believe it will, but there is always a chance at:
