A good deal except NY isn’t giving up that many picks. LA would have to pony up more than 1 first rounder, dude. The cost of unloading Westbrick by himself is a first rounder! You’re suggesting they get all that talent and give up only… one first rounder lol????

Westbrook is an expiring contract that helps Utah meet the salary floor. The Jazz are looking for expiring deals. They don't want quality veterans on their team - such as Bogey, Conley, Clarkson. Those guys will help win games. That's bad for tanking

Utah says HELL NO to that deal... Lakers dreaming.

Just for Mitchell, they could get Randle + Quickley + Grimes + Unprotected Picks

Randle is 1yr removed from All-NBA (great rehab project)

Grimes and Quickley > Toppin

Utah will get a pick + talent for Clarkson

Utah will get a pick + talent for Conlay

Rudy, at ~$7M could also have trade value.

Danny Ainge has zero interest in 2nds (they would run into roster spot issues down the road, see OKC)

NY would LOVE to trade Randle. Ainge would not take Randle if NY offered him for a second-round pick.

They'll need a salary to match Dono, so UTAH will have to take a negative contract. They really want unprotected picks/Grimes/Quickley. Randle would be a necessary evil, plus JR has more reclamation upside than Russ, Rose, or Fournier. He's one year removed from making All-NBA, IF they could get him to commit to the gym he could regain positive contract value rather easily. IF Randle is still out of shape then Ainge will know this and not bother with Julius
