Ugh.
If you still don't believe in Brunson by now, I don't know what to tell you. Yes, his path to superstardom was unconventional and unpredictable... But he's arrived nonetheless.
Final Score: Knicks 126 - Spurs 130
Record: 44-29
The shot should've dropped.
With five seconds left in overtime and the Knicks down two, Jalen Brunson, his back and shoulders weary from carrying the Knicks all night, created enough space to get a clean look at a step-back three-pointer.
If that shot goes in, Jalen Brunson would have shattered the Knicks' all-time single-game scoring record on a game-winning three-pointer. It would have been a defining moment in an incredible game in an outstanding season by a franchise-altering player.
Yes, Victor Wembanyama was otherworldly in front of his home crowd. But the 20-year-old phenom will have plenty of monster nights over the next decade as he lays waste to the league.

Brunson's jumper just missed, banging off the back of the rim. The Knicks grabbed the offensive rebound but committed another turnover, sealing the Spurs' victory.
New York stumbled out of the gates Friday night in San Antonio, falling behind by double-digits early in the first. The Spurs' lead ballooned to 21 midway through the second quarter. Brunson spearheaded a valiant comeback, but ultimately, New York emptied their tank just getting back in the game and wasn't able to close it out.
