Top 100 Fantasy Basketball Rankings for the 2024-25 Season - Training Camp Edition
With training camps underway throughout the league, here's the first crack at my annual overall rankings for the 2024-25 season. I'll amend and refine them as we get more information throughout the preseason before releasing a final "Tommy Beer Top-150 Overall" in a few weeks.
These rankings are based on nine-category (points, assists, rebounds, steals, blocks, 3-pointers, field goal percentage, free throw percentage and turnovers) roto scoring formats. I've added comments on a handful of players to explain the rationale behind their ranking.
1. Nikola Jokic (DEN)
2. Victor Wembanyama (SAS)
Many industry experts have Wemby at No.1 overall, but I'm not ready to place him ahead of the consistently brilliant and predictable excellence of Jokic.
3. Luka Doncic (DAL)
4. Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL)
5. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC)
6. Jayson Tatum (BOS)
7. Joel Embiid (PHI)
8. Tyrese Haliburton (IND)
9. Anthony Davis (LAL):
You know the deal with AD. He could easily finish in the top 5 overall. Or sink your squad if he ends up on the shelf.
10. Anthony Edwards (MIN)
11. Domantas Sabonis (SAC)
12. Kevin Durant (PHO)
13. Jalen Brunson (NYK)
Yes, I have JB higher than most. Yes, I'm aware his usage rate will probably drop next season with Mikal Bridges and KAT in the mix. But I've also learned NOT to bet against this dude.
14. Trae Young (ATL)
15. Chet Holmgren (OKC)
I am all in on Chet. Last year, as a rookie, he became one of only two players in NBA history to tally 200+ assists, 150+ blocks and 100+ made three-pointers in a single season.
16. Donovan Mitchell (CLE)
17. Devin Booker (PHO)
18. Scottie Barnes (TOR)
19. LeBron James (LAL)
The King > Father Time
20. De'Aaron Fox (SAC)
