Julius Randle, celebrating his 28th birthday, exploded for a season-high 36 points to go along with seven rebounds and five assists in just 31 minutes. He started the night on fire, pouring in 17 points in the first quarter and finished the contest shooting 14-of-24 from the field, including 6-of-13 from downtown.
According to ESPN, Randle's 36 points mark a franchise record for most points by a Knicks player on their birthday, surpassing the previous mark of 28 pts set by Dave DeBusschere and Earl Monroe.
