No, the Knicks shouldn't trade Immanuel Quickley
In the 331 minutes IQ logged this season, NY allowed just 101.8 points per 100 possessions. In the 399 mins the team played without IQ on the court, they allowed 119.5 points per 100 possessions.
The Knicks, looking to win a third straight game out West, ran into a buzzsaw in San Francisco.
The sharp-shooting Warriors have struggled on the road this season, losing all eight games they've played away from the Chase Center, but are now 7-1 at home after defeating the Knicks 111-101 Friday night.
Stephen Curry had 24 points, ten assists and six rebounds, while Draymond Green (10 points, nine rebounds and seven assists with two blocked shots) flirted with a triple-double. Klay Thompson snapped out of a slump, scoring 20 points with four three-pointers.
Speaking of slumps, RJ Barrett remained ice cold, converting just six of his 19 field goal attempts Friday. Over New York's past four contests, RJ is shooting below 27% from the floor (17-for-65), south of 70% from the FT line and 4.5% (yes, four-point-five percent) from downtown. He has made just one of his last 23 triple tries.
"Sometimes in basketball, it happens. No one is perfect," Barrett told reporters before Friday's game. "Just continue to get in the gym. … Try to groove your shot. That's all you can really do. "If the shot is wide open, I'm going to shoot it. I don't have a conscience that way. I'm comfortable. I work too hard on my game."
