New York Knicks 2019-20 Schedule Highlights: Nine Games New Yorkers Should Circle On Their Calendars

The NBA released its full schedule for the 2022-23 season on Monday afternoon. Looking ahead toward the 82-game marathon, Knicks fans are hoping this year's squad (with or without Donovan Mitchell) will bounce back and return to the playoffs for the second time in the last nine seasons.

Listed below are 11 games New Yorkers should circle on their calendars.

* October 19: Knicks at Memphis Grizzlies:

The Knicks open the 2022-23 campaign in Memphis, which was one of the most challenging places to play in the NBA last season. The Grizz went 30-11 at home last year. Only the Golden State Warriors recorded more home victories.

* October 21: Knicks vs. Detroit Pistons

This contest will mark the home debuts of both Jalen Brunson and Isaiah Hartenstein. Expect Brunson to get a very warm greeting from the New York faithful, who have been praying for a point guard since before cell phones were ubiquitous. The contest will also feature the return of former Knicks Alec Burks, Nerlens Noel (acquired via trade) and Kevin Knox (who signed with the Pistons as a free agent this offseason). Jaden Ivey will suit up in the Garden for the first time, but not in the orange and blue.

* November 15th: Knicks at Utah Jazz:

Utah won't play any games on ESPN or ABC this entire season. Despite being just a year removed from posting the league's best record, the Jazz plays only one nationally televised game in 2022-23. That one game is the one time they host the Knicks, which will be televised on TNT. As Brian Windhorst might ask: "Now why is that?" Do Adam Silver and the NBA schedule makers have a gut feeling that the contest might have a little extra juice for some reason?!?
