The last time the Knicks played a late-night West Coast contest on a school night was last Thursday vs. the Lakers. For washed-up East Coast dads, it was the absolute worst-case scenario. The game went to overtime, New York lost, and Jalen Brunson suffered a nasty ankle injury.
Fortunately, the Knicks flipped the script last night, giving a timely gift to folks back East by pounding the Kings into submission early on and cruising to victory in the second half, allowing New Yorkers to comfortably turn in before midnight.
