Last week I used the well-known "they're real, and they're spectacular" quote from Seinfeld to emphasize the fact that the Knicks were establishing themselves as a team that could make some real noise this postseason.
Today, I'll borrow from a different episode of the iconic sitcom. "The Dealership" was the 11th episode of Seinfeld's ninth and final season, originally airing on January 8, 1998. In it, Jerry plans to buy a car with an insider deal from David Puddy, who has been promoted to car salesman. However, Kramer tells a salesman named Rick that he makes the car-buying decisions for Jerry and requests a test drive. Kramer explains that one of the most important features of any car is the ability to perform with little to no gas, as he frequently drives as close to empty as possible to avoid paying for fuel before returning to the vehicle to Jerry.
On the test drive, Rick is enthralled by Kramer pushing the limit as the gasoline needle drops below the red line. "Oh, this is amazing! Oh, I've never felt so alive!" exclaims Rick. When Kramer states he's satisfied and that they better fill up, Rick presses Kramer to keep going. "You are one sick mama. I like it!" declares Kramer, who agrees and keeps driving.
