First and foremost, let's begin by giving the Pistons plenty of credit. This is a club that won 14 games last season and is playing without its second-leading scorer (Jaden Ivey) and best interior defender (Isaiah Stewart), yet found a way to travel to NYC after a heartbreaking last-second defeat in Game 4 and stay alive.

Detroit was far from perfect (they shot below 43% from the floor, below 28% from downtown, and were outrebounded), but did just enough down the stretch to escape MSG with a season-saving victory.

New York, on the other hand, found a way to lose.
