Is Joel Embiid To Knicks A Possibility?
"Leon (Rose) is my guy," Embiid said. "He's like family to me."
It's safe to assume one of the reasons James Dolan hired Leon Rose to run the Knicks was because Rose convinced the owner that he could accomplish what past GM and team presidents had failed to do: Bring a megawatt superstar to the Garden.
Three years into his tenure, Rose has yet to reel in a max-contract-sized fish. Thus, the Knicks have positioned themselves to pounce on the next superstar that demands a trade. And if recent NBA history has taught us anything, it's that it's only a matter of time before such a player lets it be known he's no longer happy with his current team and wants to move on.
