With the 2024-25 season set to tip off next week and many a fantasy draft taking place over the next few days, here are my updated Top-150 Overall rankings.
Please note these rankings are based on nine-category (points, assists, rebounds, steals, blocks, 3-pointers, field goal percentage, free throw percentage and turnovers) roto scoring formats.
1. Nikola Jokic (DEN)
2. Victor Wembanyama (SAS)
3. Luka Doncic (DAL)
4. Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL)
5. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC)
6. Jayson Tatum (BOS)
7. Tyrese Haliburton (IND)
8. Anthony Davis (LAL)
9. Anthony Edwards (MIN)
10. Domantas Sabonis (SAC)
11. Kevin Durant (PHO)
12. Jalen Brunson (NYK)
13. Trae Young (ATL)
14. Donovan Mitchell (CLE)
15. Devin Booker (PHO)
16. Scottie Barnes (TOR)
17. Chet Holmgren (OKC)
I am all in on Chet. Last year, as a rookie, he became one of only two players in NBA history to tally 200+ assists, 150+ blocks and 100+ made three-pointers in a single season.
18. De'Aaron Fox (SAC)
19. LeBron James (LAL)
The King > Father Time
20. James Harden (LAC)
21. Joel Embiid (PHI)
I’m not drafting Embiid. He’s yet to get through full practice, let alone a preseason game. He’s said he won’t play in back-to-back the rest of his career. He’s proclaimed that the MVP and DPOY awards (which require 65+ games played) are not a priority. I’ll pass.
22. Stephen Curry (GSW)
23. LaMelo Ball (CHA)
24. Alperen Sengun (HOU)
25. Karl-Anthony Towns (NYK)
KAT will obliterate his career-high for 3PT attempts and makes this season, and the Knicks need him to rebound every night
26. Damian Lillard (MIL)
27. Tyrese Maxey (PHI)
28. Cade Cunningham (DET)
Breakout season Loading…
29. Bam Adebayo (MIA)
30. Fred VanVleet (HOU)
31. Dejounte Murray (NOP)
32. Kyrie Irving (DAL)
33. Jalen Williams (OKC)
He doesn’t get enough attention nationally. This kid is one of the best young players in the NBA. With Josh Giddey no longer in OKC, Williams' USG Rate will increase, as will his fantasy stock.
34. Lauri Markkanen (UTH)
35. Zion Williamson (NOR - PF)
I totally understand shying away if you’ve been burned before, but I think Zion has a monster season in store.
36. Julius Randle (MIN)
37. Paul George (PHI)
George exited Monday's preseason loss to the Hawks due to a hyperextended knee. Fortunately, tests on George's knee revealed only a bone bruise and no structural damage, but it’s enough to scare me away. PG-13 may miss the Sixers' season opener.
38. Paolo Banchero (ORL)
39. Jaren Jackson Jr. (MEM)
40. Jimmy Butler (MIA)
41. Jalen Johnson (ATL)
42. Immanuel Quickley (TOR)
43. Ja Morant (MEM)
44. Jaylen Brown (BOS)
45. Evan Mobley (CLE )
46. Pascal Siakam (TOR)
47. Desmond Bane (MEM)
48. DeMar DeRozan (SAS)
49. Franz Wagner (ORL)
50. Jamal Murray (DEN)
51. Cam Thomas (BRK)
