Chef Curry Cooks the Knicks
With Josh Hart struggling, Thibs should have sat him in favor of Deuce...
Final Score: Knicks 102 - Warriors 114
Record: 40-21
Despite playing without Karl-Anthony Towns, who missed the contest for personal reasons, the Knicks executed well in the first half vs. Golden State on Tuesday. Mikal Bridges kept Steph Curry in check over the first two quarters and New York took an eight-point lead into halftime.
However, Curry caught fire after the break, exploding for 23 points and six assists in 16 minutes, and the Knicks could not keep pace.
It would be unfair to harshly attack the Knicks for being unable to stop the single greatest shooter of all time, but that was far from the only issue preventing a win. Being outscored 67-47 in the second half deserves some derision.
And if we're assigning blame, we must start with Josh Hart.
